Thanks again to Dr. David Hothersall. He gave an exhilarating talk on the history of Ohio State
which made for another great annual meeting. Thanks to Michael Wagner for taking the following
pictures.
The St. Louis Club welcomed Dr. David Hothersall on May 6th for the annual meeting of the club. In a
presentation entitled, "Time and Change: An Illustrated History of Ohio State", Dr. Hothersall
entertained those attending with stories and pictures of Ohio State throughout the years. Do you know
why the OSU colors are scarlet and gray or who wrote "Carmen Ohio"? Do you know what tuition was when
Ohio State first opened, and do you know who Maudine Ornsby is? Dr. Hothersall makes the history of
Ohio State not only interesting but also fun.
We also conducted some business at the meeting. Those attending voted to change our club’s constitution
to add a webmaster to our committees and to allow the president and vice president to serve for one or
two years.
The club has added a new item for sale to raise funds for our scholarship. A red reusable shopping bag
with the Ohio State athletic logo is now being sold for $2. They will be available at the watch parties
or you can contact Judy Simon.
The following slate of officers was voted on and passed:
