My daughter, Jennifer Spryszak, was the 2003 OSU Alumni Association of St. Louis scholarship recipient. I thought you might like an update on how she is doing.

This Sunday, June 10, 2007, Jenny will receive her diploma at the Commencement being held at Ohio Stadium. She is receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. She is graduating with double majors: Marketing & Trasportation and Logistics.

Jenny has been very involved while attending OSU. Below are a list of her activities:
  • 2 internships (a publishing company & a marketing/logistics company)
  • Chairman of the "BEAT MICHIGAN COMMITTEE"
  • Member of "BLOCK O"
  • Member of AGD sorority
  • Member of the OSU crew team
  • Was a member of the 1st "all women" team to win the Shell Campus Pit Stop Challenge in 10/4/06. They had entered the tire changing competion using a pneumatic lugnut remover. Their winning time of 3.6 seconds was only 0.4 seconds behind the fastest time on record of 3.2 seconds.
  • Parachuted (tandem) from 14,800 feet in her parachuting class. (this one almost gave me a heart attack)
  • Member of the Undegraduate Business Women's Association of OSU
  • White water rafted in West Virginia with the Undergraduate Business Women's Association
  • Tried out for the OSU Marching Band (worked very hard during tryouts, but did not make the band)
  • Member of the OSU Pep Band. (She played clarinet & cymbals). Got to travel several times with both the men's & women's basketball teams
  • Most important, never missed a OSU football game in 4 years
Obviously I am very proud of Jenny & her acomplishments. But the main point of this message is to thank the OSU Alumni Association of St Louis for their generosity in giving Jenny the scholarship. I also wanted to thank you for letting my wife and I join the association. We have have enjoyed all the get togethers at Ozzie's, BWW & the trip to the Illinois football game last fall. We look forward to seeing all of you in the fall when football season starts.

Sincerely,
Mike Spryszak
