Why become a member of the Ohio State Alumni Club of St. Louis? Remember that comraderie you felt when you attended this great University? Do you still get fired up when you hear Fight The Team or feel a tear coming when you hear Carmen Ohio? There are many Buckeyes in the St. Louis area who share your love for The Ohio State University and this is your opportunity to meet them. You do not have to be an alumni to join this club, all Buckeye fans are welcome. Here are some highlights of what happens in our club: Scholarship Fund Our club provides a scholarship to an area freshman attending Ohio State each year. For more information, see the Scholarship Fund page. Events Some highlights of recent events are listed below. For more information, see the Events page. Each year, members are invited to attend the annual meeting with a prominent speaker from the university. Dr. Jon Woods, the director of The Ohio State University Marching Band, came to St. Louis and spoke to our group this year. Previous speakers include Jim Tressel and Mable Freeman. Activites such as trips to the St. Louis Zoo for a behind-the-scenes tour by a fellow Buckeye. Gamewatches are held for some of the Buckeye sporting events (is it football season yet?) The other Big Ten alumni clubs in the area get together for events. There was a recent Big Ten happy hour as well as an upcoming blood drive. Game Tickets This is the last year for our ticket raffle for a chance to purchase two tickets to some of the home games. However, as an alumni club, we will continue to get a block of tickets to one game that we can offer to our members. The cost is $20 per family, per year.
